Pura Vida Bracelets: How to Live Life to the Fullest

What are Pura Vida Bracelets?

Pura Vida Bracelets

Pura Vida Bracelets is a California-based company that sells handmade bracelets online and through boutique stores like Remedy Road. After discovering the bracelets while on a college graduation trip in Costa Rica, Griffin Thall and Paul Goodman founded the company in 2010.

Along their journey, the two friends met local bracelet artisans, Jorge and Joaquin. At the time, the two artisans were living in poverty — their entire family crammed into a single room with three beds. The simple, colorful bracelets resonated with the two friends and their experience so far in Costa Rica. So Griffin and Paul bought 400 of the bracelets for $100 and brought them home to California.

Today, Pura Vida Bracelets supports over a hundred and fifty artisans with full-time jobs.

What does Pura Vida represent?

Pura Vida

“Pura Vida” literally translates to “pure life” in Spanish, which is a Costa Rican philosophy to live life to the fullest and celebrate life’s simple pleasures.

Since the company first started in 2010, Pura Vida has expanded to offer a wide selection of unique items like Pura Vida Wave Rings, necklaces, and accessories. The clean designs embody the Costa Rican philosophy and remind us to focus on what's really important in life.

Remedy Road partners with Pura Vida Bracelets to offer our customers a unique way to express themselves. Every Pura Vida bracelet purchased from Remedy Road helps provide full-time jobs for local artisans in Costa Rica. So you can support job development in Costa Rica while you shop.

In addition to supporting this great cause, Remedy Road also donates 10% of all proceeds to non-profits working with our artisans.
